Just your average video rental store... obviously.

Another short, mild story for May Wolf Jam '24.  This one is based on a dream I had a couple weeks ago.  Maybe working on four different projects in a month is overkill, but I'm learning a lot along the way!  This time, none of the bad stuff is in here, though it does deal with deep depression at times, so you have been warned!

This one is 7,056 words, and was built in less than two days to meet the May 31 midnight deadline, so eventually I do plan to come back and work on this again.  This time, I used the provided sprites given the time to make sure I would be able to finish.

I know it's something I'd never be able to do... Man!! 😭😭😭

And with that, I am done with JMJerbear's submissions! Al and Omri were great, but I would have loved to see things go a little more slowly to flesh out their relationship more. Very unique concept with the videos, though!

All that's left for me to do is find the time to read Pressed. Great job and hope you continue contributing to this community!

Thank you!  Yes, continuing their prequel is certainly on the agenda.  I wanted to have several scenes for it, but literally started working on it May 30th, so I had to make sure to cover the main plot points, so think of it more as a proof of concept.

This story and The Awakened were both based on weird dreams I had.  I don't know why, but when I'm not feeling well, I often get some crazy fever dreams, but this one in particular is still fresh in my mind.

Given the format, it will be quite easy to go back and add more scenes.  I want to take my time and add a more polish to this one in particular as I learn to do new things in Ren'Py.
